Terms of service

Your account

• You must be at least 13, the age TikTok requires, and you need a TikTok account to use memtok.
• You sign in with your email address. We email you a link, and the link signs you in. Regular accounts have no password, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep your email account secure.
• Use your own account only. Do not sign in to or use anyone else’s.

Your data

Your TikTok export and your saves belong to you. You let memtok store and process them only to run memtok: to build your library, Reveal, cards, search and chat, and to make the shared derived content described below. Your browser reads the export, and the file itself is never uploaded.

Only upload a video file you saved from TikTok yourself. We delete an uploaded file after processing, within 72 hours.

Insight Cards, transcripts and other derived content

memtok picks keyframes and uses AI models to make transcripts and Insight Cards from public TikTok posts. A model can get things wrong. Check anything that matters against the original video before you rely on it.

memtok makes this content once for each public post and shows it to every memtok user who saved that post. If you upload a file or the extension downloads one for you, the transcript and frames made from it are shown to other users who saved the same post. Your edits to a card are yours alone.

The videos belong to their creators. If you are a creator or rights holder and want frames from your post removed, email hello@jy-labs.com. We aim to act within 72 hours.

memtok for Chrome

memtok for Chrome works with your own TikTok login in your own browser. Any memtok account can use it without pairing, for the collection match, the Pro favorites check and Extract Insights. Pro members can pair it so it adds new saves about once an hour. You can disconnect a paired browser on your account page at any time.

You are responsible for how you use your TikTok account, including with the extension.

Claude and ChatGPT

You can connect Claude or ChatGPT to your memtok library. You approve the connection by signing in to memtok, or you create a connection token on your account page. A connected assistant can read your library. It cannot change it. You can revoke any connection on your account page.

What an assistant reads from memtok is then held by Anthropic or OpenAI under their own terms and privacy policies. memtok does not control what they keep.

Pro

• memtok has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. You can buy Pro yearly or monthly. The price is shown before you pay. The yearly founder price is offered only for a limited time or number of seats.
• Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your card number.
• Pro is a subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• Cancel any time with Manage billing on your account page, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. Your account page shows the date your plan renews or ends.
• If a payment fails, Pro features stop until the payment goes through.
• When Pro ends, nothing in your library is deleted. What you already have stays viewable.

Acceptable use

Do not use memtok to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights
• upload files that are not TikTok videos you saved, or that carry malware
• get around the limits on sign-in, extraction or chat, or overload the service
• scrape memtok, or copy or resell its derived content in bulk
• probe memtok for security weaknesses. If you find one, email us instead.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account on your account page after you type your email to confirm. Deletion is immediate and cancels your Pro subscription, and we email you a count of what was removed. If we cannot cancel the subscription, we do not delete the account, and you can try again. If you only want to empty your library, use Clear my library, keep my account instead.

The privacy policy lists what deletion removes and what it keeps.

Changes and ending service

memtok changes over time. We may add, change or remove features. You can stop using memtok and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

When we change these terms we update the date at the top and, for changes that matter, email you before they take effect.

No guarantees

memtok is provided as is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that every save can be found, fetched or extracted. TikTok can remove videos or change its site, and parts of memtok can stop working until we adapt.

As far as the law allows, JY Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid memtok in the 12 months before the claim or 50 US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, and there they apply only as far as the law allows.
